POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
I had to reverse engineer tutorials for RPG combat systems which made me have to problem-solve a lot and figure out a good chunk of my part of the game with no real help.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
During this session, I collaborated with my team a lot so we had an idea of what we wanted to make. I also had to constantly get some of my teammates to work on what they were supposed to do since they constantly kept making things they were not supposed to.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
Using many different tutorials helped with understanding the many ways people code and I was able to combine them as well which allowed me to work in ways I was not able to before.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
Learning how to make an RPG combat system allows me to work on far more projects in the future that I would be interested in. It also helps me with things like game states that many people use in coding as well which is very useful.
Reactions to the Final Version
” If the game does not show any errors but still does not work properly, then it’s still a bug”- Hunter. We didn’t really have any reactions since the game was not finished and when we got advice on how to fix it from Hunter, it still did not work which only made him more confused.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
I regret how I used my time this session. I feel like a lot of the issues we ran into would have been solved if I stuck with the tutorial I was using at the start and end. I also feel like we should have done a different type of game since the one we stuck with was too specific and complicated for a team like us to only stick with for two months unlike team six who had worked on theirs for a very long time comparatively.
